La Puebla De Alfinden

Puebla de Alfindén belongs to the province of Zaragoza and is located in the Ebro depression, on Quaternary deposits at 197 meters altitude, located 12 km from the capital on the left bank of the river Ebro, near the mouth of Gallego.
From the origins, it can be said that it is possible to be inhabited by Iberians and Romans, as an extension of the city of Zaragoza. So far, the main finding of this hypothesis, are the coins, Iberian and Roman, found in the term of Alfindén.

The Parish Church of Our Lady is located in the center of the old town.
Inside the temple it is worth noting the polychrome altarpiece of the main altar dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, a sculpture of Christ stretched out, in polychrome wood, from Cartuja de Jos and another image of Christ on the cross. On January 31, 1512 Mosen Domingo Agustin demolished some walls of the La Puebla de Alfindén Church and rearranged them together with the tower and the lid of the Church, making them almost again according to the art of Audalla. The square tower was built by fixing it on the wall from the epistle, its structure responding to the type of mudejar tower from the 14th - 16th centuries and it was rehabilitated in 1987. The rest of the Church has been progressively restored and at present very few things remain to be done.

The town hall was restored in 1986, being built from the 15th and 16th centuries and is right next to the Church. The building has three floors, the last floor or attic has a gallery of orthogonal arches whose gaps are decorated with plasterwork that occupy half of the openings.
The facade as a whole is crowned with a strong cross, like the Palacio de los Pardo or Torrero, from Zaragoza, which corresponds to the same period.
