Homonymous capital of the province of Aragon, Teruel Maestrazgo is located near the mountainous region, with several museums and churches, buildings or contrary modernist style buildings renascenstist and especially numerous in Mudejar style, a real open air museum that would only Toledo rival.

This unique style, unique to Spain, was created by architects after the Reconquista Moors, when Christian armies in Spain recucerisera. Therefore churches in Teruel, for example, is surprisingly much like mosques. While not a large city, Teruel has enough to offer to be a destination at least interesting.

Maestrazgo Park is an important paleontological heritage that is studied and excavated by the Foundation of Teruel paleontological. A great museum in the city and a network of small shows around the province form Dinopolis project promoted by the regional government of Aragon. Two of these centers are in the park. One in Galva, a small village but with an important body fossils of dinosaurs and their footprints. The other is Castellotte where you can see a site with petrified tree trunks from the Cretaceous period.
