This village in Castellón is characterised by its mountains, which all but reach the sea. Alcalá de Xivert-Alcossebre is located between the Costa del Azahar coast and the inland Maestrat region. Here the sea and the mountains come together to form contrasting
landscapes.
Along its ten kilometres of coastline there are five high quality beaches, along with various unspoilt coves. These Mediterranean waters are ideal for water sports such as sailing, fishing and scuba diving, amongst others. Alcossebre is also a good base from
which to explore the Columbretes Islands Nature Reserve.
