Platja D'Aro is a municipality in the Costa Brava, Spain that is found in the region of Bajo Ampurdam. It is a small locality with a population of 10,000 made up of Castell D'Aro, Platja D'Aro, and S'Agaro...three towns of the municipality known as Castell
d'Aro.
In it's origins, Platja D'Aro was a small fishermen's town that with the passing of time has become one focusing on tourism which is it's main source of income. For this reason many hotels, apartments, houses, villas and chalets have been built to satisfy the
increasing demand. The same is true for other nearby localities like Castell D'Aro that just as Playa d'aro has grown quite a bit in the past few years.
