Lugo is the capital of the province of Lugo, the Autonomous Community of Galicia in north-west Spain. An important industrial city of Galicia, a green city that some of the most northwestern part of Spain.

Lugo is the only city in Europe, completely surrounded by walls of a Roman city intact. The walls reach a height of 10-15 feet along a circuit of 2117 m, with 71 towers and 10 gates. The ten gates of this wall gives access to the historic Lugo, an urban area with pedestrian streets and buildings of stone sober. These high walls in the third century are protected by UNESCO World Cultural Heritage entering.

Centers of interest are market and España Santo Domingo, in the latter being the mayor and the building dating from 1738, along with nineteenth-century clock tower. Another important building in the historic center is the cathedral in Romanian style - Gothic, which was built in XII century and ended almost a century later - why neoclassical facade.

In times past, do Campo Square arcade are the Roman Forum and medieval market, but today there are more ideal for shopping streets.
