La Coruña in Spanish, or A Coruña in Galician language, this is the second largest city in Galicia, according to Vigo, and the former capital of the province until 1982.
La Coruña is a major international port, a garrison town and a fishing center, with large canning factories. Old Town - Ciudad Vieja, consisting of a collection of streets, squares and medieval churches, still keeps close ties to the old port.
