About Callao Salvaje - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
Callao Salvaje is a perfect holiday destination because it is relatively small and is not yet dominated by tourists.
Callao Salvaje was formerly a small fishing village, and the rapid development of the tourist industry brought apartments and hotels to the area. In recent years, Callao Salvaje has focused on the development of several luxury resorts. Souvenir shops, small shops, restaurants and bars can be found here. The resort is a good starting point for touring the island or for activities in the area.
Callao Salvaje is located on the south coast of Tenerife, about 10 km from Playa de las Americas. The dry, desert landscape of southern Tenerife is evident in this area. The impressive rocks contrast with the blue Atlantic Ocean.
Beaches: away from the city center there is a small black sand beach, which is less frequented. Young people enjoy the hotel's swimming pools, and those who prefer the beach tend to head to the artificial beach of Playa Paraíso, just 10 minutes away. However, there are plans to create a new artificial beach in Callao Salvaje.
Restaurants: good food can be found here at good prices. In addition to the typical Spanish food, there are also Italian and Chinese restaurants.
Nightlife: There are a number of relaxed bars in the city, but for those who like to dance all night, Los Cristianos or Playa de Las Américas are recommended.
