After the Reconquista, Ciudad Real became the capital of La Mancha in the seventeenth century, and soon turns into an economic and cultural center of the first importance, and the number of public and private buildings is growing rapidly here. In fact, history is the oldest city, founded in XIII century by King Alfonso X, the fortified city.
