Corralejo is a tourist resort situated in the village of Corralejo, municipality of La Oliva, on the north side of the island of Fuerteventura.
In the south, a short distance from the old port there are a couple of more spacious sandy beaches that overlook the island of Lobos.
Since the small beach at the old port in Corralejo seems to make use of space, these beaches are great for tourists who stay in the north of Fuerteventura.
But the main reason people go to Corralejo is situated to visit the sand dunes for miles of beaches. The city is surrounded by sand dunes that form a nature reserve.
Corralejo is well positioned for many sporting activities. North and East Beach conducive to surfing and windsurfing site.
Those who are hiking or mountain biking have the opportunity to go off road and mileage can be adjusted to fit the time available.
