Malaga is a large city in southern Spain and is one of the most important tourist destinations in Spain, Europe as well as the Mediterranean Sea coast.
The geographical center of the city and town on the Costa del Sol tourist area of Nerja which extends up to Manilva (eastern and western limits of the province of Malaga) with a total length of 160 km from the beach, 100 km east of the Strait of Gibraltar .

Malaga was founded by the Phoenicians of 1000 BC, as Malak. This name probably derives from the Phoenician word for salt because fish was salted near the port. Seven centuries later, the Romans conquered the city along with other Spanish areas of Carthago. Since the fifth century e.n. Malaga has been under rule Visigoths.
In the late eighth century, Spain was conquered by the Moors, the city became an important commercial center.
Malaga Moors ruled until the mid-fifteenth century and converted the city into one of the most important centers of the Iberian Peninsula. This illustrious past has left unforgettable traces in the historical center of Malaga, near the Alcazaba fortress, dating from 1065 (it is now an archaeological museum).
