About Roses - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
Roses is one of the oldest towns Catalan, located on the Costa Brava, 30 km from the border with France.
Roses is situated at the northern end of the bay with the same name and although in the last 40 years tourism development took off, remained quiet and relaxing resort, retaining much of its original charm.
One advantage of this destination is the location near two major reservations: Cap de Creus Peninsula, where there are unique plant and animal species, and the Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls of L'Emporda, with salt lakes, sand dunes and fields of cane. Don Pancho cruise ships leave the port or to Cap de Creus, or along the harbor Roses to Medes Islands.
Roses in the city sights include the church of Santa María and Mallol House modernist style. Restaurants and terraces on the coast offers real treat for the taste buds - the code is the main ingredient in appetizers, main course and the geographic influence is remarkable: seafood and game.
