Sóller is linked to historic railway, Ferrocarril de Soller, and by a toll road tunnel in the capital of Palma Mallorca.
Ferrocaril was built on profits from the sale of orange and lemon trees and completed in 1911.
Andratx-Pollença highway also passes through the valley. Today's economy relies mainly on tourism and foreign residents spending complementary to the agricultural economy based on citrus and olive groves.
Soller | Sóller (pronounced Catalan: [soʎə]) is a town and municipality near the north west coast of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands of Spain.
The town is about 3 km inland of Port de Soller, in a high valley, shaped bowl, which also includes the village and the hamlets of Biniaraix Fornalutx and Binibassi
