Located between two highly promoted tourist Ribs (Blanca and del Sol) Murcia city is the capital of the autonomous region with the same name.
Murcia province is in south-east, and here is named metropolis region. The word "Murcia" comes from Latin, meaning in Romanian translation, mulberry. Here, the leaves of mulberry trees were subject to trade, as food for silk worms used to produce silk.
Murcia is built in the center of a fertile plain, known as the Huerta or Murciei garden, which includes Sangonera valleys and river Segura and is surrounded by mountains.
