Pamplona, capital of Navarre (Basque language Iruna), located in the northern Spain and south-western part of the Mountains pyrene.
The city is located in Arga river basin, and is the first region of plains, highlands after.
This land was inhabited in Celtic times, the Romans founded a city here in 79.ie, named army commander Pompeius Magnus, who conquered this region. After the collapse of the Roman city came under Visigothic domination and became up-Eighth Century in the main
fighting against windmills. So was born the Kingdom of Navarra (Pamplona in other words).
