The Hotel Rural Soterraña comprises of two singular buildings, one is a “Casa Palaciega” from the late XIX century and the other is an old flour factory which has been renovated with the best in taste. The large gardened patio allows your to enjoy your evening meal in the open air. The Hotel also offers different salons where you can enjoy the marvellous gastronomy of the region, amongst them the Meson Tipico with fireplace. We offer a varied and large range of choices on our menus, and a service for groups and special events.
The Hotel Soterraña offers a number of external activities for all tastes, visits to museums, restored mines, 4x4 routes bodegas…and also our own activities such as the Matanza Extremaña for groups who wish to join a traditional “matanza”.
The Hotel is located in a marvellous location, en the centre of Extremadura from where you can visit many places of the region, such as hisotircal towns, Truijillo is 12km away, Caceres 59km, Merida 87km, Plasencia/Valldel Jerte 138km and Guadalupe 69km. Clients can also enjoy nature in the marvellous Parque nacional de Monfrague or the Parque Natural de Cornalvo. In summer the region offers a variety of natural pools where you can enjoy a swim.
All rooms are different, some of them with sloping ceilings. All have TV, air conditioning / heating, hair dryer, toiletries, mini bar and WIFI. There are cots and extra beds available.

It is an ideal destination for those who enjoy living in the nature apart from art and history lovers who can visit Merida, Caceres and other interesting places close at hand. rooms: There are a total of 23 charming rooms all of them with sloping ceiling but different in decoration and size all provide air conditioning, complete bathrooms with hair dryer, satellite TV, direct telephone, piped music and mini bar. restaurant: The restaurant is a must, all guests should have a t least one meal at the hotel restaurant where the range of regional dishes available is above expectations. Do not forget to try one of the home made desserts. exterior: The hotel consist of two different buildings one oth them is an old palace and the other one and old flour factory. lobby: The lobby area is a beautiful four posted patio, typical of rural houses in the region. general: This is a small country hotel but offering a complete list of activities and services such as BBQ for the spring and summer nights in a beautiful outdoor area, social room for guests, bar-cafeteria, a la carte restaurant and typical Meson where to enjoy tapas and snacks. 11/10MP
